Sammy is an easygoing, midwesterner who told me when we first met that he would never leave Metro Detroit. But love will make you do things you never thought were possible. He is a fierce defender and protector of his family and loves all things Detroit except for Faygo Soda, which he calls “pop.”  

Sammy sees the world as filled with potential and possibility rather than challenge. This glass half full mentality, coupled with his infectious positive personality, helps bring light to even the hardest days. He is hardworking and creative which allows him to dream big while also remaining grounded and realistic.

Sammy accepts me for me without condition. He loves to travel and experience new things together. He pushes me to be open to the beauty even right outside our window. It is that same loyal and loving personality that he will bring to raising children together. 

Since the early days of our relationship, Sammy and I have spoken about having a family of our own. He loves to babysit for our nieces and will drop everything he is doing to spend time with them. Sammy is a natural father who can go from baking brownies to potty duty in a split second.
